Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
On June 20, 2023, the Board of Supervisors adopted the Master Position Allocation Table for the FY 2023-2024 Budget, Resolution Number 23-109.
Summary of Request:
The Human Resources Department is charged, as part of the overall maintenance of the classification and compensation plan, to evaluate current classifications, create new classifications (including appropriate salary levels), reclassify positions, examine requests for salary grade adjustments, analyze allocations, and make recommendations for additions, modifications, and corrections.
The Cannabis Department is requesting to delete positions numbers 4336, 4337, 4339, 4340, 4498, 4500, 4502, 4454, 4503, 4504, 4506. 4505, 4507 and 4263 (6.0 FTE Planner II, 1.0 FTE Chief Planner, 1.0 FTE Director Cannabis Program, 1.0 FTE Cartographer Planner, 1.0 FTE Department Analyst II, 1.0 FTE Office Services Supervisor, 2.0 FTE Staff Assistant III and 1.0 FTE Administrative Assistant).
Child Support Services is requesting to delete positions numbers 3473, 3925, 4274, 4292, and 4410 (1.0 FTE Chief Child Support Attorney, 1.0 FTE Child Support Specialist II, 1.0 FTE Administrative Secretary, 1.0 FTE Staff Assistant III, and 1.0 FTE Account Specialist III).
The request to delete the above referenced positions is a result of them being vacant and the departments do not intend to hire or fill these vacancies in the future.
By deleting these funded positions, the departments will have a cost savings as noted below in the fiscal details. The savings to budget unit 2810 and budget unit 2090 includes the cost of benefits at step 5.
