Approve the recommendations of the Mendocino County Fish and Game Commission for disbursement of $25,000 from the Fish and Game Propagation Fund for Round 1 of the 2016/2017 project cycle as follows:

Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
The role of the Commission is established in Chapter 2.5 of the Mendocino County Fish and Game Code; this role includes recommending expenditures to the Board of Supervisors from the Fish and Wildlife Propagation Fund that are in accordance with the requirements of the Fish and Game Code Sections 13100-13104.
Summary of Request:
The Commission is requesting that the Board of Supervisors consider and approve recommendations for an allocation of County Fish and Game Propagation Funds in the amount of $25,000, which the Commission budget has available for this purpose, for various projects for the 2016/2017 Project Application Cycle. An Ad Hoc Committee of three Commissioners met on January 24, 2017 to rank the submitted proposals. The Commission held a special meeting on January 24, 2017 to review the rankings and voted to recommend funding the top four rated projects to the Board of Supervisors as follows:
• $10,000 Mill Creek Stream Bank Stabilization and Riparian Corridor Development Project by Round Valley Indian Tribes
• $2,500 Education and Wildlife Rescue Programs by Woodlands Wildlife
• $8,500 Sub-tidal Marine Protected Area Monitoring of Mendocino County’s Rocky Reefs by Reef Check California
• $4,000 Town Creek Restoration Planning and Education Project by Eel River Recovery Project
Ayes: (3) Commissioners Terry Guerrero, Patty Madigan, Charles Morgan, & Randy Vann;
Abstain: (1) Commissioner Madigan (due to conflict of interest)
