It is customary to honor outgoing Supervisors in recognition of their public service.
Summary of Request:
Supervisor Glenn McGourty has represented the 1st District since his election in 2020, bringing expertise in agriculture and water resource management to the Board. His service on committees such as the Inland Water and Power Commission and the Local Agency Formation Commission has advanced environmental sustainability and supported local agriculture.
Supervisor Dan Gjerde was elected in 2012 to represent Mendocino County’s Fourth District and has served with integrity and dedication for 12 years. During his time as Supervisor, he has served on numerous boards and committees, including the Mendocino County Board of Retirement, and Mendocino Council of Governments, where he championed equitable access to transportation and sustainable planning.
The Board of Supervisors commends Supervisors McGourty and Gjerde for their exemplary service, leadership, and commitment to Mendocino County, extending their heartfelt gratitude for their lasting contributions to the community.
