March 15, 2016: The Board of Supervisors announced the appointment of Katharine L. Elliott as Mendocino County Counsel. On April 5, 2016, the Board of Supervisors approved the Agreement with Katharine L. Elliott to Serve as County of Mendocino County Counsel, for a Four Year Term, in the Amount of $120,000 Per Year, Plus Benefits, with an Effective Date of March 15, 2016. On August 15, 2017, the Board of Supervisors approved an Amendment to Agreement No. 16-009 to increase the Agreement amount from $120,000 Per Year, Plus Benefits to $131,000 Per Year, Plus Benefits, with an effective date of August 1, 2017.
Summary of Request:
The Board of Supervisors directed that the annual performance review of County Council Katharine L. Elliott be placed on the June 19, 2018 Board of Supervisors meeting agenda as a closed session item.
Upon completion of closed session on June 19, 2018, the Board directed staff to place an item on a future agenda in open session to approve an additional $15,000 per year be added to BOS Agreement No. 16-009 with Katharine L. Elliott increasing the agreement to a total amount of $146,000 per year, plus benefits, effective July 15, 2018.

Do not approve recommended action and provide further direction to staff.
