Summary of Request:
This item proposes and recommends that the Board of Supervisors appoint Angela Godwin as the Mendocino County Agricultural Commissioner/Sealer of Weights and Measures and approve the Employment Agreement between the County of Mendocino and Angela Godwin to serve as the Mendocino County Agricultural Commissioner/Sealer of Weights and Measures for the term of June 23, 2024, through June 22, 2024, with total compensation of $258,516.96 (includes salary and benefits).
The Agricultural Commissioner/Sealer of Weights and Measures reports to the Board of Supervisors and is responsible for enforcing local, state and federal laws and regulation relating to agriculture, human health and safety, environmental protections and ensuring fairtrade in the marketplace.
The fiscal details associated with this agreement include the costs of benefits associated with the Unrepresented Employees Compensation and Benefits Resolution 24-074.
