By Resolution No. 15-093 (June 16, 2015), the Board of Supervisors (BOS) approved BOS Agreement Number (No.) 15-063/Department of Transportation (DOT) Agreement No. 140022 with MGE Engineering, Inc., for professional services to complete the plans, specifications, and estimate for the replacement of Williams Creek Bridge on Powerhouse Road. By Resolution No. 17-097 (July 11, 2017), BOS adopted an Initial Study, Mitigated Negative Declaration, and a Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program for this project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) requirements.
Summary of Request:
Mendocino County Department of Transportation will prepare and administer construction plans, specifications, estimates, and contract documents for DOT Contract No. 190033, for the replacement of the Williams Creek Bridge on Powerhouse Road. This project is for construction of a new bridge on the same alignment (requiring road closure) and removal of the existing rail-car and timber bridge. The total construction costs, including construction engineering and contingency, is estimated at $1,705,000, and the work will span the summer 2020 construction season. The project is to be funded primarily through the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Highway Bridge Program (HBP) with a local match from Toll Credits.
