Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
On November 3, 2020, the Board approved a three-year agreement with Allied Universal Security Services in the amount of $1,001,520 with a term of November 15, 2020 through November 14, 2023, with the option to extend the Agreement for up to three additional one-year periods.
Summary of Request:
On August 13, 2020, the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office released Request for Proposal (RFP) No. SO-2020-002 for Court Security Services at the Mendocino County Courthouse and the Fort Bragg Justice Center. The Sheriff’s Office requires security guard services to provide perimeter security and screening services at these locations. This affords added security and safety for courthouse staff and the public. The RFP resulted in Allied Universal Security Services receiving the highest scores of the bids received.
The requested Amendment extends the termination date set out in BOS Agreement Number 20-149 from November 14, 2023 to November 14, 2024, with the addition of $300,000 for the one-year term of this Amendment for a new Agreement total of $1,301,520.
