Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
On November 3, 2020, the Board approved a three-year Agreement with Allied Universal Security Services in the amount of $1,001,520, with the option to extend the Agreement for up to three consecutive one-year periods. On October 17, 2023, the Board approved the first amendment to BOS Agreement 20-149 extending the Agreement to November 14, 2024, and increasing the total Agreement amount by $300,000. On November 4, 2024, the Board approved the second amendment to BOS Agreement 20-149 extending the Agreement to November 14, 2025, and increasing the total Agreement amount by $310,000.
Summary of Request:
On August 13, 2020, the Sheriff’s Office released RFP No. SO-2020-002 for Court Security Services at the Mendocino County Courthouse and the Fort Bragg Justice Center. Security Guard services are required for perimeter monitoring of these facilities and visitor screening areas at the entrances. This affords added security and safety for courthouse staff and the public. The resulting agreement was awarded to Allied Universal Security Services.
This proposed third amendment will extend the termination date set out in BOS Agreement 20-149-A2 from November 14, 2025, to November 14, 2026, with the addition of $310,000 for a new Agreement total of $1,921,520.
