Summary of Request:
The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) oversees Mendocino County, Behavioral Health and Recovery Services, Mental Health’s (MH) provision of specialty mental health services to eligible Medi-Cal beneficiaries in Mendocino County. As a result, the proposed Performance Agreement between DHCS and MH outlines specialty mental health services to be provided by MH. Through this Performance Agreement, MH will provide or arrange for the provision of specialty mental health services for eligible Medi-Cal beneficiaries of Mendocino County within the scope of services defined in the Agreement.
Adoption of the proposed Resolution will authorize the Mendocino County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services Director to sign Performance Agreement No. 22-20114, and any Amendments or renewals that do not exceed the maximum amount associated with the Agreement.
MH received the proposed Performance Agreement from DHCS in August 2022, well after the July 1, 2022 start date, and is requesting retroactive approval.
