Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
On June 24, 2025, the Board of Supervisors adopted the Master Position Allocation Table for the FY 2025-2026 Budget, Resolution Number 25-111.
Summary of Request:
The Human Resources Department is charged, as part of the overall maintenance of the classification and compensation plan, to evaluate current classifications, create new classifications (including appropriate salary levels), reclassify positions, examine requests for salary grade adjustments, analyze allocations, and make recommendations for additions, modifications, and corrections.
At the request of the Social Services Director, Human Resources requests the Board amend the Position Allocation Table adding 1.0 FTE, Account Specialist III, 1.0 FTE, Program Specialist II and 1.0 FTE Social Worker Assistant II; and deleting 1.0 FTE (PN 2578), Senior Department Analyst, 1.0 FTE Social Worker IV-B (PN 2020), and 1.0 FTE (PN 4348), Legal Secretary II.
The three positions to be deleted are recently vacated and the department no longer needs to fill those roles whereas the need for requested positions are relevant for successful day-to-day operations in the Administration and Family and Children Services divisions.
The impact below is an overall savings for this fiscal year and is calculated at step 5 including the cost of benefits. The recurring savings shown below is calculated at step 5, including the cost of benefits.
