By Resolution Number (No.) 20-049 (May 5, 2020), the Board of Supervisors (BOS) approved BOS Agreement No. 20-041/DOT Agreement No. 180074 for the 2019 Quadrennial Geotechnical Support Agreement in the amount of $826,000, which expired March 31, 2025.
Summary of Request:
Department of Transportation (DOT) Agreement Number (No.) 260012 provides for professional on-call geotechnical engineering services to support various County transportation and roadway projects. Services may include geotechnical field exploration, laboratory testing, geotechnical analysis, design recommendations, and preparation of technical reports. Services will be authorized through individual task orders based on specific project needs, scope, schedule, and available funding. In response to the County's Request for Qualifications, Geocon Consultants, Inc. submitted a Statement of Qualifications to provide professional on-call geotechnical engineering services and has agreed to perform the required services for a not-to-exceed amount of $400,000 over the four-year term of the agreement. DOT requests the Board approve DOT Agreement No. 260012 with Geocon Consultants, Inc. in the amount of $400,000, as well as authorizing the Director of Transportation a 10% contingency of $40,000 to process contract amendments as needed in order to facilitate timely completion of the work.
