Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
In 1991 the Board adopted Division II of Title 20 of the Mendocino County Code through Ordinance No. 3785. Included in Division II is Section 20.536.005(C) which provides for the reporting of Coastal Development Administrative Permits approved by the Coastal Permit Administrator to the Board of Supervisors.
Summary of Request:
The project involves an Administrative Coastal Development Permit to develop a vacant 0.7± acre commercial zoned parcel in phases by establishing two steel warehouse buildings, production water well, water storage tank and treatment system, well house, drainage channel, mound septic system, fencing, sidewalks, parking and gravel road. A temporary storage container for material and equipment storage will be placed during construction. The property is located In the Coastal Zone, 0.5± miles south of the City of Fort Bragg, on the north east corner of State Route 1 (SR 1) and Simpson Lane (CR 414) intersection; located at 18501 N. Highway 1, Fort Bragg, APN: 017-140-49.
The Coastal Development Permit was administratively approved by the Coastal Permit Administrator (CPA) on April 23, 2026, and requires the Board of Supervisors authorization for issuance of the permit. The CPA staff report is attached for review.
Alternative Action/Motion:
Order that CDP_2025-0012 be scheduled for a public hearing and be processed pursuant to MCC §20.536.015.
