Summary of Request

On December 14, 2021, the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors (BOS) approved investing one-time Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) disaster settlement funds in the amount of $1,000,000 to fund Mendocino County Association of Fire Districts (MCAFD). Through this approval, each of the twenty-two districts will receive $45,454.55 for various purchases and projects according to the BOS approved MCAFD PG&E Settlement Allocations. The proposed contract with Hopland Fire Protection District (Hopland FPD) in the amount of $45,454.55 for purchase of an off-road vehicle and radios is among the contracts approved by the BOS.

Pursuant to the proposed Agreement, Hopland FPD will utilize funding to purchase a Polaris Ranger Crew XP 1000 Trail Boss vehicle and BK Mobile Radio, for use primarily in and around Mendocino County.
