Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:

On July 11, 2023, the Board approved a letter of support for Mendocino Land Trust and the Bureau of Land Management to acquire the Folsom Ranch east of Willits.

Summary of Request

This letter supports the Bureau of Land Management’s acquisition of the 15-acre Keiser Parcel adjacent to BLM’s planned 4,000-Acre Folsom Ranch acquisition in Mendocino County. The Mendocino Land Trust has been working with BLM to acquire the 15-acre Keiser Parcel which will provide direct access for the public. The Folsom Ranch along with the Keiser Ranch acquisitions will  protect the environment, open new public access, and complete an important ancestral land return to local tribes.
