Annually, the Chair of the Board of Supervisors recommends Board member assignments/appointments to other boards, committees, commissions, and various special assignments, pursuant to Rule No. 4 of the Board of Supervisors Rules of Procedure.
Summary of Request:
On January 10, 2023, the Board of Supervisors adopted the 2023 Special Assignments Roster. Due to an administrative error, the roster presented at that time did not include the appointment of an Alternate Representative to the Local Agency Formation Commission. Supervisor Haschak served as the LAFCo alternate in 2022, and the Chair has recommended that he continue to serve in that capacity in 2023.
Alternative Action/Motion:
Do not appoint Supervisor Haschak and provide direction to staff.
