Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
Annually, the Chair of the Board of Supervisors recommends Board member assignments/appointments to other boards, committees, commissions, and various special assignments, pursuant to Rule No. 4 of the Board of Supervisors Rules of Procedure. On November 6, 2018, the Board of Supervisors appointed Supervisor Brown as representative to GSFA, but opted to defer appointment of an alternate until 2019.
On October 17, 2017, the Board of Supervisors approved an addendum to the Joint Powers Agency Agreement with the Counties of Napa, Marin and Lake to define the Governing Board of the Alliance, which included the appointment of two (2) Mendocino County Supervisors to the Governing Board.
Summary of Request:
Each year, Board members are appointed to serve on assorted local and regional boards and commissions which are identified as “Board Special Assignments”. These Board assignments involve regular meetings and active participation by Board members representing the Board of Supervisors regarding regional transportation issues, land use and development issues, and various community joint powers authority boards.

Do not make appointment, or provide further direction to staff.
