Summary of Request

The Department of Transportation will prepare and administer construction plans, specifications, estimates, and contract documents for Department of Transportation (DOT) Contract Number (No.) 230000 for the 2023 Corrective/Preventative Maintenance Project on various County Maintained Roads at an estimated cost of $4,500,000, depending on available funds.  This project will preserve up to 23.37 miles of road surfaces within the Mendocino County Maintained Road System, at an estimated average cost of $192,555 per mile when completed. The County roads are Philo Greenwood Road, County Road (CR) 132, from milepost (M.P.) 0.00 to M.P. 17.65; and Cameron Road, CR 516, from M.P. 0.00 to M.P. 5.72. This project is to be funded through Senate Bill 1 (SB 1): The Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017, and Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account (RMRA) funds.  The Department will not exceed funding available.

Postpone the needed pavement preservation.
