Summary of Request

Project Sanctuary provides safe, emergency housing and crisis counseling services on a 24-hour basis to victims of domestic violence and their children. Additional services include assistance with filing temporary restraining orders and accompaniment during interactions with judicial, medical, and social service systems. Trained crisis-line staff are available at all times to support victims and coordinate needed responses.

Mendocino County Department of Social Services (MCDSS), Family and Children’s Services (FCS) and Project Sanctuary have developed this Operational Agreement to formalize collaboration in providing the maximum available assistance to domestic violence survivors residing within Mendocino County. Both parties mutually acknowledge that cooperation and coordinated service delivery enhance safety, access to resources, and long-term outcomes for victims.
