Approve retroactive Agreement (first Amendment to Agreement No. SS-22-086) with North Bay AVS Design, in the amount of $0 for an Agreement total of $12,853.21, to purchase and install a fire/burglar alarm at Fort Bragg - Avila Campus, effective January 27, 2023 through a new end date of January 31, 2024 (original end date: January 31, 2023); authorize the Social Services Director or designee to sign any amendments that do not increase the total amount; and authorize the Chair to sign same.

Summary of Request:
On January 27, 2023, the Mendocino County Social Services Director executed Agreement No. SS-22-086 for procurement and installation of a complete Napco 9600 Hybrid Burglar Alarm System at the Social Services Avila Center Building located at 752, 764, 778, and 790 South Franklin Street, Fort Bragg, CA 95437. Since then, it was determined that the project would take longer to complete than originally anticipated, requiring an extension of the term.
The proposed Amendment extends the Agreement term through January 31, 2024. This extra time will enable North Bay AVS Design to purchase and install the Fire/Burglar Alarm, and complete the project in its entirety. Once the proposed Amendment is executed, it will be effective for the full term of the Agreement, from January 27, 2023 through January 31, 2024.
Agreement No. SS-22-086 was originally given a very short timeline, and expired on January 31, 2023, before this term-extension Amendment could be processed. As a result, this Amendment is being approved retroactively.
