Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:

Adoption of Mendocino County Code Chapter 20 “Zoning”, Divisions II (Coastal) and III (Mendocino Town). This code authorizes the Coastal Permit Administrator to administratively approve certain projects without a public hearing, provided that the approval is reported to the Board of Supervisors prior to the permit becoming effective.

 

Summary of Request

Administrative Coastal Development Permit for the construction of a 2,795 sq. ft. single-family residence with attached 456 sq. ft. garage, deck, septic system and leach fields, propane tanks, connection to existing utilities; construction of a 640 sq. ft. single-family residence to be converted in accordance to the zoning code upon issuance of certificate of occupancy for the larger residence; installation of a water tank; construction of a driveway; installation of roof-mount solar panels; and temporary occupancy of a travel trailer during construction of the smaller residence. The Coastal Development Permit was administratively approved by the Coastal Permit Administrator (CPA) on February 24, 2020 and requires the Board of Supervisors authorization for issuance of the permit. The CPA staff report is attached for review.

 

Alternative Action/Motion:

Any one member of the Board may direct that the Coastal Development Permit CDP_2018-0009 (Levy-Tongate) be scheduled for a public hearing and processed pursuant to Mendocino County Code Section 20.536.005.
