Mendocino County Policy #39 Catastrophic Leave adopted by the Board of Supervisors on February 12, 2002, Resolution #02-032, and amended by Minute Order on December 20, 2016.
Summary of Request:
Human Resources is recommending the Board adopt the revised policy being presented today which includes clarifying language and an update to the donation of hours, which allows employees to exceed the four hundred and eighty (480) hours by the number of hours that are directly donated to an employee, with no cap on the number of hours donated to an employee based on review by Human Resources in coordination with the department. The suggested revisions to Policy #39, Catastrophic Leave (Attachment A, mark up version and B, clean copy).
The County has met all meet and confer obligations related to the policy amendment.
