Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
February 6, 2017, the Board authorized the application and resolution to apply for SB 844 jail construction funding.
Summary of Request:
Nacht & Lewis was the successful bidder in the RFQ 57-17 “Architectural/Engineering Services for the Mendocino County Jail Replacement Special Needs Housing Unit and Visitors Center” process. The County conducted a competitive process with proposals requested and three proposals were received. The evaluation panel consisted of six people, three from the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO); one County Counsel employee; one County Planning and Building employee and one County Executive Office employee. Based upon the recommendations of the evaluation panel, an agreement with Nacht & Lewis is being presented for Board consideration. The project is projected to take a minimum of 54 months. The projected budget from SB 844 and County funds is $2,910,000 for the architectural services as described in the attached contract.
