Approve Agreement with Alice Cheng, MD in the amount of $100,000, to provide psychiatric medication support services to Mendocino County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services clients, effective July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026; authorize the Health Services Director or designee to sign any future amendments to the Agreement that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

Summary of Request:
Psychiatric medication support services are required services for Specialty Mental Health clients and Mental Health Plans must be able to provide these services. Dr. Alice Cheng, MD is a professional medical practitioner who provides psychiatric services to individuals in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness.
Mendocino County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) started contracting with Dr. Cheng in 24/25 and intends to continue to contract with Dr. Cheng for 25/26. Dr. Cheng is a unique vendor who offers these very much needed psychiatric services to BHRS and there is no other vendor available and willing to provide these services within Mendocino County.
