Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
Ongoing Agreement. Most recent Action on June 21, 2022, Item No. 3(u), Approval of Agreement No. BOS-22-151.
Summary of Request:
Redwood Community Services, Inc. (RCS) has been arranging specialty mental health services under the direction and supervision of Redwood Quality Management Company (RQMC) (now Anchor Health Management) on behalf of Mendocino County. The proposed Agreement with RCS will arrange and pay for specialty mental health services, including 24/7 supportive living services, as well as case management to clients 18 years old and above in Mendocino County who are court ordered into Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT), and/or Lanterman-Petris--Short Act (LPS) services. Placements in RCS Supportive Housing is a more cost-effective way to provide mandated supportive living requirements to Mendocino County AOT and LPS clients in lieu of more costly out of County placements. These placements also allow AOT and LPS clients to remain in the community they know and provide the opportunity to build or strengthen family support systems. The proposed Agreement allows RCS to arrange for necessary specialty mental health services on behalf of the County, while allowing the County to maintain a comprehensive mental health plan in compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Alternative Action/Motion:
Return to staff for alternative handling.
