recommendation

Summary of Request:
Our public within the Coastal Zone faces permit fees in the thousands to remove dead and hazardous vegetation or fines in the thousands for failure to secure permits. Dead tree removal is not “development” by any stretch of the definition. When members of the public demonstrate personal responsibility for the safety of all, it is bad government to demand unreasonable fees and processes. Time is of the essence for better public policy. The California Coastal Commission is encouraged to adopt the same.
Alternative Action/Motion:
Take no action.
