Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
By Resolution Number (No.) 16-051 (April 19, 2016), the Board of Supervisors (BOS) approved Department of Transportation (DOT) Agreement No. 160025/BOS Agreement No. 16-017 in the amount of $626,000 with Quincy Engineering, Inc. for design and environmental clearances for the Lambert Lane Bridge Replacement Project. By Resolution No. 21-151 (October 19, 2021), the BOS adopted the Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration (IS/MND) and Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program for the Ackerman Creek Bridge Replacement Project. By Resolution No. 23-044 (February 28, 2023), BOS authorized DOT to advertise for bids and award DOT Contract No. 230001 for construction of the Lambert Lane bridge replacement over Robinson Creek an estimated cost of $4,765,200. By Resolution No. 25-032 (February 11, 2025) the BOS reauthorized the Director of Transportation to advertise and award the DOT contract No. 230001 at an estimated cost of $6,500,000.
Summary of Request:
Department of Transportation (DOT) Agreement No. 250047 provides for vegetation mitigation monitoring and maintenance work required by regulatory agencies for the Lambert Lane Bridge over Robinson Creek Replacement Project. SHN has agreed to perform the required work to complete the mitigation monitoring and maintenance work for a not-to-exceed amount of $147,569. Costs of the project are to be funded primarily through the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Highway Bridge Program (HBP), with the remaining local match covered with Toll Credits. Because the need for additional work is often identified during implementation, DOT deems it prudent to authorize the Director of Transportation a 10% contingency of $14,757, to process contract amendments as needed in order to facilitate timely completion of the work.
