Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:

On June 23, 2020, the Board of Supervisors (BOS) approved the Fiscal Year (FY) 2020-21 Budget. The narrative on page 57 of the Mendocino County FY 2020-21 Budget affirms the Board’s priority to invest Mendocino County Department of Transportation’s (MCDoT) roads corrective maintenance funds to improve road surfaces by seals or asphalt overlays. On April 20, 2020, the BOS adopted Resolution Number (No.) 20-046, approving the list of Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account (RMRA) projects for FY 2020-21.                     

 

Summary of Request

The Mendocino County FY 2020-21 Budget, in an effort to meet the public transparency requirements of Senate Bill 1 (SB 1) (Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017), presented the narrative on page 57 and the list of RMRA projects on page 509. The BOS previously adopted Resolution No. 20-046, approving the list of RMRA projects for FY 2020-21 at the April 20, 2020 BOS meeting. The following list of projects is anticipated to utilize RMRA funds for the 2021 Corrective/Preventative Maintenance Project: Orr Springs Road, County Road (CR) 223; for the 2022 Corrective/Preventative Maintenance Project: Goose Road, CR 640; Primrose Drive, CR 604; Poppy Drive, CR 623; Lilac Road, CR 605; and Daphne Way, CR 608; and for the 2023 Corrective/Preventative Maintenance Project: Philo Greenwood Road, CR 132, and Cameron Road, CR 516.
