Approve Agreement with County of Glenn Probation Department to provide detention services for youth placed in the Mendocino County Juvenile Hall effective July 29, 2025, at a daily bed rate of $200 and reimbursement for medical related expenses, with a maximum amount of $250,000 per fiscal year; authorize the Chief Probation Officer to sign any future amendments which do not increase the total contract amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

Summary of Request:
Glenn County Probation contracts with other counties for their juvenile detention services as they no longer operate a juvenile detention facility in their county. Glenn County Probation requested to enter into a daily bed rate contract with Mendocino County in the event that other counties whom they are contracting with had insufficient bed space to accommodate their needs. This agreement would provide a daily bed rate of $200 on an as-needed basis when Mendocino County Juvenile Hall has available capacity. This is a revenue agreement for Mendocino County. Glenn County will be invoiced on a monthly basis for daily housing as well as other costs such as medical services, medications, etc.
