Adopt Resolution approving Agreement (Department of Transportation Agreement Number 250023) with the Mendocino County Resource Conservation District, in the amount of $30,000, for forest health, soil health management, and water resource services on various projects in Mendocino County, with a term effective upon signing through June 30, 2026, and authorizing the Director of Transportation to sign amendments to the Agreement, including an additional $30,000, for a total agreement value not to exceed $60,000 (County Wide); and authorize Chair to sign same.

Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:

During the December 13, 2022, Board of Supervisors meeting, the Board agreed to fund $45,000 to the Mendocino County Resource Conservation District (MCRCD) in FY 22/23, and an additional $45,000 in fiscal year (FY) 23/24, if available. By Resolution 23-096 (May 23, 2023), Board approved Department of Transportation Agreement Number 230002 with MCRCD for $90,000 over two years.                       

 

Summary of Request

Mendocino County has been contributing financially to the MCRCD for years. In June 2024, the Board agreed to give $60,000 to the MCRCD over two years: $30,000 in FY 24/25 and, by amendment, $30,000 in FY 25/26.

Postpone or cancel approval of the agreement.
