This item proposes and recommends that the Board of Supervisors, sitting as the Air Quality Management District Board of Directors, appoint Glen Stephens as the Mendocino County Air Pollution Control Officer and approve the Employment Agreement as the Air Pollution Control Officer commencing on October 26, 2025. The agreement provides an annual salary of one hundred and forty thousand, six hundred ninety-one dollars and twenty cents ($140,691.20) and a total annual compensation of two hundred thirty-nine thousand, one hundred seventy-five dollars and four cents ($239,175.04), including salary and benefits.
The Air Pollution Control Officer, pursuant to Health & Safety Code § 40751, is appointed by and reports to the Board of Supervisors in its capacity as the Air Quality Management District Board of Directors, with administrative coordination provided through the County Executive Office.
