Approve the retroactive joint statistical Agreement between the California Department of Finance and Mendocino County Planning and Building Services to share information with the State Data Center (SDC) who is the leading agency working with the United States Census Bureau regarding demographic research for a time period beginning January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2029 with no funds transferred between either parties; and authorize Chair to sign same.

Summary of Request:
The State of California participates in a national State Data Center (SDC) program by entering into an agreement with the United States Census Bureau and by maintaining the legislatively mandated SDC as the lead agency and official liaison. The SDC is located within the Demographic Research Unit of the California Department of Finance. This agreement will commit Planning & Building Services in assisting the CA Department of Finance by providing the SDC program minimum requirements and in return, Planning and Building Services will have access to multiple research resources provided by the CA Department of Finance. Due to the routing process over the Holidays, there was a delay in the execution making this agreement retroactive.

Do not approve the agreement and provide staff with direction.
