Summary of Request:
Restpadd, Inc. is a 16-bed acute care psychiatric inpatient treatment facility located in Redding, California licensed by the State of California Department of Health Care Services. Admission to Restpadd, Inc. is based on the medical necessity of patients who are unable to maintain and safely function at home or in the community. At the facility, Restpadd, Inc. provides multi-disciplinary evaluation, treatment, rapid stabilization, and coordinated discharge planning that encourages wellness and recovery of individuals with a goal to send those individuals back to their respective community.
On February 6, 2024, the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors approved Agreement No. BOS-24-022 with Restpadd, Inc. to provide inpatient psychiatric treatment services to Mendocino County clients. The proposed Amendment increases the total amount to $850,000, to continue inpatient psychiatric treatment services to Mendocino County clients. The number of clients placed at Restpadd, Inc. is higher than Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) anticipated when the original Agreement was executed. The proposed Amendment will allow Mendocino County BHRS to continue placing mental health clients in Restpadd, Inc. as there are currently no local facilities in Mendocino County that are able to provide acute care psychiatric inpatient treatment.
