Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
October 19, 2021, Item 4(s), original Agreement No. BOS-21-183.
June 7, 2022, Item 3(ao), first Amendment No. BOS-21-183-A1.
August 2, 2022, Item 3(k), second Amendment No. BOS-21-183-A2.
Summary of Request:
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Mendocino County contracted with Redwood Community Services (RCS) to provide meal delivery, medication delivery, transportation, telecommunication, and trash pickup services for those in isolation and/or quarantined during the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to the unpredictable nature of the need for these services, the Agreement with RCS has been renewed and amended as needed to keep services current. The latest Amendment was executed on August 2, 2022 with a term ending December 31, 2022. The proposed third Amendment to Agreement No. BOS-21-183, further extends the end date through June 30, 2023, for continuation of necessary services.
Due to the unexpected and unpredictable nature of the related services, this third Amendment was not anticipated before the expiration of the second Amendment, and therefore is being processed retroactively.
Alternative Action/Motion:
Return to staff for alternative handling.
