On July 11, 2023, the Board approved an Agreement with Joshua Sternberg for Jail Gardening Management Services in the amount of $53,040 for FY23-24.                     

 

Summary of Request

The Sheriff’s Office is seeking approval of an Agreement for Jail Gardening Management Services during Fiscal Year 2024-2025. This initiative is designed to provide incarcerated individuals with meaningful work and skills development through participation in gardening activities. Under this Agreement, Joshua Sternberg will manage and oversee the gardening program within the Jail facilities. The program contributes to the rehabilitation of incarcerated individuals by teaching them valuable skills and work ethics that can aid their reintegration into society upon release.
