Summary of Request:
The Board of Supervisors created a Strategic Plan in 2022 to enumerate long-term goals and objectives for the County. Mendocino County Library Administration have worked with Library staff, the Library Advisory Board, Friends of the Library groups, and the community to create the Mendocino County Library Five-Year Strategic Plan 2023-2028 to provide staff a working guide to operations including programming, capital improvements, and collection development. This document will keep staff on track and focused on the goals that we wish to achieve over the next few years.
This supports the County Strategic Plan goal of an Effective County Government by ensuring that Library staff and affiliated groups are focused on actions that have been determined by all to be in the best interest of the people of Mendocino County.

Do not approve Strategic Plan and provide alternate direction.
