Summary of Request:
County Counsel and Human Resources are requesting approval of an agreement with an outside attorney to perform an independent personnel investigation. The County routinely contracts with several firms to provide these sorts of investigations as needed. This new vendor possesses special skills and experience with this particular type of personnel investigation. This work was originally to be performed pursuant to subcontract through an existing contractor, but it was determined that this contract structure was not suitable to the investigator. The cost of this investigation is estimated as $23,712, but final costs may vary.
