Approve first amendment to BOS Agreement 22-071 with AECOM Technical Services Inc., in the amount of $12,000, for additional construction management services for the 911 communications equipment facility for a new agreement total of $229,306 and extend the termination date from December 30, 2023, to December 30, 2024; and authorize Chair to sign same.

December 7, 2021, approval of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) grant application.

August 16, 2022, approval of the CDBG grant agreement and grant funds appropriations for the project.

Summary of Request

Project delays associated with long lead items required for the project have extended the project duration by more than six months and construction management services are required through project completion. The extension of the contract term allows the Construction Management firm to be under contract until completion. While every effort is being made to limit the costs associated with the time extension, staff anticipates up to $12,000 in additional fees for service. The contractor is entitled to rate increases for hours performed after June 30, 2024.
