Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
By Resolution No. 15-093 (June 16, 2015) the Board of Supervisors (BOS) approved Department of Transportation (DOT) Agreement No. 140022/BOS Agreement No. 15-063, with MGE Engineering, Inc., for professional services of preliminary engineering and design work.
Summary of Request:
Pursuant to California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) requirements, an Initial Study has been completed for the Powerhouse Road Bridge over Williams Creek Replacement Project. The study supports the adoption of a MND. The attached MND includes the State Clearinghouse review period letter of compliance. The State Clearinghouse received no comments during the 30-day review period. A public hearing has been scheduled and publicly noticed for July 11, 2017, at 9:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as the item may be heard, to present the findings of the Initial Study and to hear and consider any comments or concerns of the public, prior to adoption of the applicable MND. The estimated total cost of the project is $2,100,000. Project funding is primarily through the Federal Highway Bridge Program (HBP) (88.53%) with the local match being provided through the Toll Credits Program (TCP) (11.47%).
Alternative Action/Motion:
Postpone the public hearing and delay the project.
