Summary of Request:
Stephen White is applying for a seat with the Area Agency on Aging of Lake and Mendocino Counties as the Governing Board Chair. Historically, the seat appointed by the Board was filled by the Adult and Aging Services Deputy Director. Mr. White is the current Acting Deputy Director overseeing the Adult and Aging Services Division of the Mendocino County Social Services Department and is uniquely qualified to represent the interests of Mendocino County given his position in the Department. Mr. White has been regularly attending and participating in meetings for the past six months. The seat was previously filled by Kelsey Rivera, Acting Assistant Director of Mendocino County Social Services and she has submitted her resignation to the Area Agency on Aging of Lake and Mendocino Counties due to the additional responsibilities of her current position. Mr. White resides in Lake County, and will need a residency and voter registration waiver to serve as a Board member.
