Order that no election be held for the November 13, 2023 Board of Retirement Retired Member, and Alternate Retirement Member elections pursuant to Government Code Section 31523; and direct the clerk to cast unanimous ballots in favor of unopposed candidates Richard Shoemaker, Retired Member, 8th Seat, and Lenord Swope, Alternate Retired Member, 10th Seat, for three year terms beginning December 1, 2023 and ending November 30, 2026.

Summary of Request:
Richard Shoemaker, incumbent candidate for the Retired Member, 8th Seat, and Lenord Swope, candidate for the Alternate Retired Member, 10th Seat are unopposed for the November 13, 2023 Board of Retirement Election. Therefore, pursuant to Government Code Section 31523, the Board of Supervisors shall order that no election be held and shall cast a unanimous ballot in favor of such candidate/s.
