Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
On June 24, 2025, the Board of Supervisors adopted the Master Position Allocation Table for the FY 2025-2026 Budget, Resolution Number 25-111.
Summary of Request:
The Human Resources Department is charged, as part of the overall maintenance of the classification and compensation plan, to evaluate current classifications, create new classifications (including appropriate salary levels), reclassify positions, examine requests for salary grade adjustments, analyze allocations, and make recommendations for additions, modifications, and corrections.
At the April 7, 2026, Board of Supervisors meeting the Sheriff’s Office presented and was approved to hire various positions within the Sheriff’s Office and the Jail. During its presentation and attached documents, budget unit 2510, position number 3441 is vacant and the department requested the deletion of the Sheriff’s Services Technician, position number 3441, as it will not be filled in the future.
There are no additional costs to budget for deletion of this position.

Do not adopt recommendation and direct staff.
