Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
By Resolution No. 22-172 (August 2, 2022), the Board of Supervisors (BOS) approved BOS Agreement No. 22-201/DOT Agreement No. 220007 with GHD, for professional engineering design services for a not-to-exceed amount of $138,122 for Allocation 1 for the project approval and environmental documents (PA/ED). By Resolution No. 23-170 (October 17, 2023), the BOS approved Amendment No. 2 to BOS Agreement No. 22-201/DOT Agreement No. 220007 with GHD, for completion of plans, specifications, and estimate (PS&E) for a new not-to-exceed contract amount of $1,830,854 for the North State Street Intersection Improvements Phase 1 Project.
Summary of Request:
Amendment No. 3 provides for $439,146 in additional funds to cover additional work required by Caltrans, utilities, and the County to complete National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requirements. All project-related costs are 80% reimbursable by the State Transportation Improvement Program, with the local match covered with road funds. DOT requests approval of Amendment No. 3 to BOS Agreement No. 22-201/DOT Agreement No. 220007, with GHD, Inc., for an additional amount of $439,146, for a total contract amount of $2,270,000.
