On June 4, 2024, the Board conducted Fiscal Year 2024-25 Proposed Budget Hearings, approving the Chief Executive Officer’s recommendations and adjustments.
Summary of Request:
The Mendocino County Board of Supervisors, as part of a noticed Proposed Budget Hearing on June 4, 2024, approved the Chief Executive Officer Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2024-25. The attached Resolution, in accordance with Government Code Section 29089, is being presented to formally adopt the Budget for Fiscal Year 2024-25.
The proposed budget hearing schedules included minor clerical errors, or scrivener errors, with regards to budget unit numbers presented. All scrivener errors have been corrected in the final Board of Supervisors approved schedules and are included in the resolution presented today.
At the time of the Proposed Budget Hearing, the Mendocino County Employee Retirement Association (MCERA) budget for fiscal year 2024-25 had not been entered into the County finance system. The MCERA budget is approved by the MCERA Board and employee salaries are budgeted through the County finance system as a net zero. Approval of the recommended budget adjustment to include the MCERA budget will not have a financial impact on the Mendocino County fiscal year 2024-25 budget.
