Summary of Request:
The Behavioral Health Training Center Remodel Project at 8207 East Road in Redwood Valley was awarded to Adams Commercial General Contracting (ACGC, Inc.) on March 23, 2021 in the amount of $295, 858. The work including alternates that added a fire sprinkler system and upgraded the building lighting to energy efficient LED fixtures began on March 29th. Time was added to the contract to account for the design, engineering and local Fire Authority approval of the fire sprinkler system. Changes to the work include: credit for soap and paper towel dispensers shown but to be provided by the County; addition of an HDMI cable to operate the projector; remove and replace non-compliant existing ramp at the south side of the building to meet current standards; extend and re-route irrigation pipe and conduits around new sidewalk; and increase the width of the transition from existing parking lot to the new ADA parking stalls at the front of the building. Field authorization and contractor proposals are included in the Change Order documents included with the packet. Due to the contractors being on site, Facilities consulted with the Mental Health Treatment Act Citizens Oversight Committee ad hoc that has been appointed to provide input and/or advise on the remodel of for the Regional Behavioral Health Training Center Project at 8207 East Road in Redwood Valley; with their concurrence, the work commenced, thereby requiring retroactive approval of the change order.
