Summary of Request:
The Department of Transportation (DOT) will prepare and administer construction plans, specifications, estimates, and contract documents for DOT Contract Number (No.) 230008 for replacing 450 feet of guardrail at milepost (M.P.) 2.70 on Mountain View Road, County Road (CR) 510. The replacement guardrail and end treatments will be to current Caltrans standards and specifications. A portion of the guardrail (162.5 feet) was destroyed by a private entity, and replacement of this section of guardrail is anticipated to be paid for by the private entity’s insurance. The remaining 287.5 feet of guardrail will be replaced using funds from the Road Fund.

Postpone the needed guardrail repairs.
