Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:

Shaw, Yoder, Antwih, Schmelzer, and Lange, Inc. (SYASL) is a Sacramento-based advocacy and public affairs firm. For over 20 years, SYASL has represented leading California counties and associations. In January 2025, Mendocino County entered into Agreement No. PA-25-60 with SYASL for legislative consultation and advocacy, leveraging the firm’s expertise to advance the County’s goals.                     

 

Summary of Request

Shaw, Yoder, Antwih, Schmelzer & Lang (SYASL) prepared a presentation summarizing the 2025 California Legislative Session, highlighting bills signed into law and measures that could influence the 2026 session. The presentation will allow the Board of Supervisors and County representatives to discuss legislative issues affecting the County.
