Summary of Request:
A Request for Proposal was released on May 22, 2023 seeking proposals for innovative continuum of care programs for youth and/or adults to help clients achieve and maintain sobriety using a whole person, client centered approach to substance use disorders services. The intent of the RFP was to collect bids on projects that can help prevent, treat, or reduce the harms associated with opioids, stimulants, alcohol, prescription drugs, and other problematic substances. The RFP resulted in the submission of two proposals for projects funded through Measure B funds as recommended by the Mental Health Treatment Act Citizen’s Oversight Committee. An evaluation review committee was appointed that consisted of Mendocino County BHRS Treatment staff, representatives from the Mental Health Treatment Act (Measure B) Committee, and the Behavioral Health Advisory Board (BHAB). The evaluation and review committee identified one proposal to be complete. The successful proposal is for $4,100,000 to complete the building of a 3663 sq. ft. 24-bed Sober-living dormitory.
