On October 17, 2023, the Board approved the first amendment to BOS Agreement 20-149 extending the Agreement to November 14, 2024, and increasing the total Agreement amount by $300,000.

Summary of Request

On August 13, 2020, the Sheriff’s Office released Request for Proposal (RFP) No. SO-2020-002 for Court Security Services at the Mendocino County Courthouse and the Fort Bragg Justice Center. Security Guard services are required for perimeter monitoring of the facilities and visitor screening at the court facility entrances at these two locations. This affords added security and safety for courthouse staff and the public. The resulting contract was awarded to Allied Universal Security Services.

The requested Amendment extends the termination date set out in BOS Agreement 20-149-A1 from November 14, 2024, to November 14, 2025, with the addition of $310,000 for the one-year extension for a new Agreement total of $1,611,520.
