On September 11, 1979, the Board authorized membership in the California Association of Counties (CSAC) Joint Powers Association (JPA).
Summary of Request:
PRISM, formerly known as CSAC, is a member-directed insurance risk-sharing pool. Membership in the pool allows Mendocino County the opportunity to participate in most PRISM programs, including for legal services advice. This Legal Services Engagement Agreement provides the County an opportunity for confidential legal advice, process and policy guidance, and support with drafting for labor and employment law issues, on an as-needed basis.
There are no fees or costs associated with the legal services provided under this Agreement. The Agreement establishes an attorney-client relationship and is effective until terminated by either party.
The Agreement requires Board approval due to the absence of a specified expiration date.
