Summary of Request

The County completed a competitive procurement process for disaster prevention, recovery, resiliency, and mitigation grant research and grant writing services.  LACO Associates was selected for their experience and expertise.  Under this contract, LACO Associates has researched the availability of federal, state, and private grant programs to identify potential funding sources.  LACO Associates has assisted assessing disaster-related unmet needs and forming projects in addition to preparing and submitting grant applications on behalf of the County.  The additional $50,000 is needed to cover costs for some unanticipated important grant opportunities, such as the Clean Transportation Program, PrepCA Jump Start, and Local Coastal Program Non-Competitive Grant.
